Biography
Lauren a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist with a background in Psychology and Western medicine. She has always been interested in the mind-body connection and through personal experience, came to understand that Traditional Chinese Medicine provides a comprehensive approach to treating physical and emotional imbalances. After working for nearly a decade in the Western medical world, she became interested in helping others find true wellness through holistic and ancient healing methods and decided to pursue an education in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
Lauren graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado, with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM). She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Colorado and is nationally board certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Prior to her acupuncture training, she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology from UT Southwestern Medical Center. Lauren spent nearly a decade working in adolescent Psychiatry and adult & pediatric Neurology at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and Children’s Hospital Colorado in both clinical and research roles.
