Twenty percent of Colorado acupuncturists are active AAC members, and our membership grows every day! We Work on Legislative Issues
Your membership empowers us to hire capable, experienced lobbyists and consult with attorneys who can advocate for our profession and protect our scope of practice. Without the AAC, acupuncture could have been deregulated in Colorado in 2013 because policymakers didn't understand the need for our Practice Act. In 2017, we worked to defend the reputation of acupuncture and the safety of the public in relation to dry needling. Our upcoming Sunset Review will allow us the opportunity to make even more positive changes to our Practice Act. With your membership, we will affirm our profession's position as the expert in all things acupuncture and integrative health.National Representation
Being an AAC member automatically makes you a member of the Acupuncture Society of America (ASA), the nation's most comprehensive acupuncture professional society, without having to pay an extra membership fee. The ASA works closely with the NCCAOM, ACAOM, the Acupuncture Now Foundation and other organizations to promote and protect AOM nationally without competing with states for membership dollars.
