Biography
Dr. Katie Robinette DACM, L.Ac. is passionate about helping people feel strong, healthy, and balanced. She uses a combination of acupuncture, topical and internal herbal medicine, myofascial release, and heat therapy to reduce and eliminate aches, pains, and illness. She specializes in holistic digestive wellness, successfully helping patients with ailments such as IBS, food intolerances, and other digestive disorders with the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also has a particular affinity of the power of food to heal, and follows the principles of Eastern Nutrition both in her own life, and as guidance for her patients. She also promotes the use of Chinese Medicine as a preventative medicine, and values its ability to help people feel their absolute best.

Katie attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, one of the oldest, most established, and rigorous Chinese Medical schools in the country. Pacific College believes in giving its students the tools they need to use Chinese Medicine in an integrative health setting. The four year master’s degree program included Chinese Medical theory, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Tui Na massage, Eastern and Western nutrition, as well as Western internal and orthopedic disease. She is board certified by the NCCAOM in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Colorado.

Before moving her practice to Mederi Health in Cherry Creek, Katie enjoyed a busy acupuncture practice in Alexandria, Virginia, in the Washington D.C. metro area. She is grateful for the opportunity to now live in the beautiful city of Denver, and enjoys yoga, hiking, cycling, and exploring. She studies medical Chinese in order to deepen her understanding of this ancient medicine. She plans to one day translate texts in order to increase the resources for all acupuncturists practicing Chinese medicine in the West.
